Step 1-Test Your Sump Pump

Heavy rain can make your sump pump work harder — test it to make sure it’s working properly.

Step 2-Check Plants for Exposed Roots

A downpour can bring with it sliding mud and other debris, especially in the garden. The last thing you want is all your work to wash away.

Check your garden for any exposed roots to ensure proper growth.
